THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA - 901 SERVICES EASEMENT
Project Completion Date: July 2018
Project Budget: $1,000,000.00
Services Involved: Hydraulics, Electrical
Shamrock Electrics was successful in the 2017 Tender for the 901 infrastructure services easement works. The project value for this job was $1 million. The scope of works undertook the Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics and Civil components as Shamrock were the Main Contractor on the project.
The intent of the works was for the upgrading of campus infrastructure for future services. Services included 375 chilled water flow and return, numerous hydraulic services and electrical, data & communications. Services were fully installed with valves, service pits and reinstating of roads and paths. Complexity of installation within existing roadways and maintaining UWA normal activities was a challenge Shamrock Electrics overcame. Challenges for engineering design and installation were overcome for items such as steel design for concrete anchor blocks performed throughout the installation period. Scheduling of isolations, large excavation, removal of spoil and remedial works were all within the scope of works.
During installation activities, Shamrock Electrics’ crew were led and managed on site by experienced supervisors that adhered to all QA and OHSE requirements and all statutory and site requirements.
Shamrock Electrics delivered the logistics for the deliberate and staged program securing supply of services to the campus. We delivered the project while providing continued operation of the campus infrastructure without incidents, and long term or unexpected interruptions to campus supply.
Shamrock Electrics was able to complete the project resourced from staff within the company and engaging only minimal specialist suppliers.
