Shamrock Electrics was engaged by the University to provide the electrical service requirements for the lighting upgrade at UWA’s McGillivray Sports Park which consists of rugby, AFL, soccer fields and an athletics track to be lit up. New light poles were to replace the existing lighting, which included underground cabling, supply and installation of dedicated switchboards to each pole and supply and programming of a lighting control system for the poles. The existing lighting facility was maintained until the new lighting system was fully operational. The new lighting system consists of 26 x 30m lighting towers with up to 18x 2000 watt LED light fittings, complete with a computerised control system.
