Shamrock Electrics had the privilege of being involved in the construction of stage 2 of the Forrest Hall Building at the University of Western Australia. As part of the Illustrious Minderoo research foundation, the building was designed as an accommodation complex for visiting scholars and rising research leaders attending West Australian Universities. The complex consists of 9 Scholar accommodation rooms, 65 short stay accommodation rooms, office space, landscaped grounds and under croft car parking. Shamrock Electrics were involved in providing the electrical services requirements for the building’s construction.
The electrical scope of works included, but were not limited to the installation of new distribution boards, extensive feature lighting and intelligent lighting control system, general power and communications installation, dry fire detection system, access control and intercom system and assistance call system. The works involved the coordination of multiple subcontractors working under Shamrock.
Shamrock had experienced unexpected complications through the course of the project, such as delays impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, but these challenges were overcome through the careful coordination of our project managers and site personnel. As a result, the works were completed to the University’s expectations.
